Professor Dr. Abdus Samad

Dr. Abdus Samad is currently working as a Professor in the department of Chemistry, Jagannath University, Bangladesh. He has earned B.Sc.(Hons) in Chemistry and MS in Inorganic & Analytical Chemistry from the university of Dhaka with securing top positions. He obtained PhD degree from Mie University, Japan in Analytical and Environmental Chemistry under MEXT fellowship program. He received ‘President Award’ for PhD research performance. In addition, he received a number of scholarships during undergraduate and post graduate studies including Kudrat-E-Khuda scholarhip, Bangabandhu Memorial Trust scholarship and all Bangladesh Education board scholarships for excellent academic records. His research interest is in the field of Analytical and Environmental Chemistry including environmental pollution, remediation of water pollutants using conventional and nanomaterials, Chemical toxicology and air quality etc. He reviewed a number of manuscricpt from reputed Journals like Science of the total Environment, ACS nano, International Journal of Geomate and many local journals. He is the board memeber of International Journal of Geomate. He has published 22 articles in reputed International and Local Journals. He is the life member of a number of organisations like Bangladesh Chemical Society, Life Member, Network of Instrument Personnel and user Scientists of Bangladesh (NITUB), Chemistry Alumni Association etc. Apart from his academic responsibiliy is performing the number of administrative responsibilities such as Convener, Day Care Center, Jagannath University (two tenure), Member, Jagannath university cricket committee (two tenure). He also involves in other social platforms like Moderator, Bangladesh Science fiction society, JnU Unit and moderator, Innovators window.

He has obtained his B.Sc.(Hons) and MS degree in Microbiology from the university of Dhaka. His research field is food microbiology specially microbiological quality of street food in Bangladesh. He received research grant from Ministry of Science and Technology Bangladesh, University Grants Commission Bangladesh and University of Dhaka. In addition, he also received a number of scholarships during undergraduate and post graduate studies including NST fellowship. He has published 8 articles in reputed International and Local Journals. He reviewed a number of manuscricpt from reputed Journals like African journal of Health Science, Bangladesh Journal of Microbiology and some
other local journal. He is the executive member of Dhaka University Microbiology Alumni Association (DUMAA) and life member of Bangladesh Society of Microbiologist. Apart from
his academic responsibility he is also working as a House Tutor in Dr. Muhammad Shahidullah Hall, University of Dhaka.

Abdullah Al Mamun

Abdullah Al Mamun is a Ph.D. candidate and research/teaching assistant at the University of Houston, Texas, USA. He has completed his BSc. and MSc. from Jagannath University, Bangladesh. At present, he is conducting his research on the Prediction and Synthesis of Superconducting materials under the supervision of Dr. Guloy. Besides his research, he is actively working to spread information and awareness about research and higher study in Bangladesh. He is an active writer in social media and Bangladeshi newspapers and transfers knowledge for making a better Bangladesh. He is also playing voluntary leadership rules including but not limited to as President of Graduate Student Association of Bangladesh (GSAB) at the University of Houston, President of Texas Chapter of Bangladesh Chemical And Biochemical Association in North America (BACABANA), and Director of Youth Society for Research and Action (YSRA).

Md. Ataur Rahman

Md. Ataur Rahman is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemistry, University of Dhaka, Dhaka-1000.
He earned his B.S. in Chemistry in 2012 and M.S. in physical chemistry in 2013 from the Department of
Chemistry, University of Dhaka. He secured the first position in both degrees. In B.S., the chemistry was his major
with mathematics and physics, and his M.S. was specialized in physical chemistry with research in the field of
photocatalysis and photo-oxidative degradation. He has received a number of honors and awards including the
Dean’s Award 2013, Undergraduate Board Scholarship 2012, Dhaka University Postgraduate Scholarship 2013,
and several others. He was the National Science and Technology (NST) Fellow during his M.S. After completing
M.S., he joined the Department of Chemistry, Jagannath University, Dhaka-1100 as a Lecturer in August, 2015.
He is now continuing his research with the photochemistry research group. He attended and presented his research
works at about eight national and international conferences. He has eight research articles published in
international and national peer-reviewed journals. He loves reading books and he particularly enjoyed visiting the natural sites and historical places of the United States, India, and Bhutan along with his motherland.

Maksudul Haque Khan

Maksudul Haque Khan is a CO-Founder and Chief Executive officer (CEO) who works at Youth Society for Research and Action (YSRA) to generate, lead, promotion and branding of services, data management and research/project grant management and building network with affiliation. He is an independent researcher on Contemporary International Relations at Youth Society for Research and Action. His graduation degree had completed from Jagannath University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration. He was Research Assistant (RA) at Accident Research Institute (ARI), BUET. Former Data Analyst at UNFPPA, Bangladesh. Also designated as Campus Ambassador at Centre for Man and Masculinity Study (CMMS). Besides all this, he was joint secretary at Jagannath University Research Society (JnURS).Former Dept. Head of Logistics at Jagannath University Model United Nations (JnUMUNA) and former cadet at JnU, BNCC. He had awarded as best position paper achievement at UNYSAB Diplomatic Assembly at Jagannath University in 2017 and graciously participated Chittagong University International model united nations conference at Chittagong University in 2018 and lastly Jahangirnagar University Model United Nations Conference in 2019 at Jahangirnagar University and also experienced attending several International and national conference, seminar, Symposium, webinar, workshop and training program. Khan is a powerful force in the workplace and uses his positive attitude and tireless energy to encourage others to work hard and succeed. He is inspired by patriotism, social work, justice and equity. In his leisure time, enjoyed to travel and to be familiar with new people and culture.
